A handsome corner site in a plum Trafalgar Square location make an incongruous, though jolly nice setting for Jom Makan’s low-budget Malaysian street food. Prices are higher than at Soho canteens, but in return you get ‘efficient, never overbearing service’, an ‘elegant room’ & decent renditions of classics such as Hainanese chicken rice, nasi goreng & steaming bowls of spicy soup noodles. Quality satay compensates for the absence of rice cakes (Brits don’t eat them, apparently) with superior peanut sauce. Only a small & not very meaty lamb curry seemed mean at £8. To finish, the requisite sugar fix is delivered by slurpy tapioca pudding with palm sugar & coconut cream: the weakness of many a sweet-toothed Malaysian. The heart also lifts to see frothy sweet tea & coffee ‘tarik’ on the menu (even if it is rather watery). BLOG POSTS

Ingredients
:
1) ½ kg flour
2) 3 4
red chilli
3) Ikan bilis enough
4) 1 2
onion (dimayang)
5) 1 teaspoon salt
6) hot water (boiling) enough to brew
7) ½ 1
kg of cooking oil (for frying)
Method:
1) Put the flour, chilli, anchovies and onions in a bowl and mix
with hot water. Not dilute the mixture thickens. Let cool.
2) Meanwhile, heat the oil in a wok.
3) Use a spoon to eat, put the mixture into the pan one by one to
exhausted. Fry until kekuningkuningan
with medium heat.
4) Lift and drain. Serve with chili sauce or tomato sauce.
Ready to serve.

Bahanbahan
:
1) ½ kg tepung gandum
2) 3 4
biji cili merah
3) Ikan bilis secukupnya
4) 1 2
biji bawang besar (dimayang)
5) 1 sudu teh garam
6) Air panas (mendidih) secukupnya untuk membancuh
7) ½ 1
kg minyak masak (untuk menggoreng)

Cara :
1) Masukkan tepung, cili, ikan bilis dan bawang besar dalam mangkuk dan dibancuh
dengan air panas. Bancuhan pekat tidak cair. Biarkan sejuk.
2) Sementara itu panaskan minyak di dalam kuali.
3) Gunakan sudu makan, masukkan adunan ke dalam kuali satu per satu hingga
habis. Goreng sehingga kekuningkuningan
dengan api sederhana.
4) Angkat dan tos. Hidang bersama sos cili atau sos tomato.
Sedia untuk dihidangkan.

Youtiao Recipe / Cakoi You Tiao?Yao Za Guai?

Ingredients
:
A) a self-rising flour
2) 11 grams instant yeast
3) 2 cups water (depending on the quality of flour)
4) ½ cup sugar (made of sugar water)
5) ½ cup cooking oil
6) ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
7) 1 tbsp serbukbawang puti (if you like extra untukperisa)
8) Salt to taste
9) ½ - 1 kg cooking oil (for frying)
10) s rich and butter for the filling
Method:
1) Mix all ingredients except cooking oil and a nucleus, forming hooks
dough. Add water if necessary. Let the dough for 2030
minutes in the container

2) Heat oil in a wok.

1) 1 kg tepung naik sendiri

4) ½ cawan gula (jadikan air gula)
5) ½ cawan minyak masak
6) ½ sudu teh soda bikarbonat
7) 1 sudu makan serbukbawang puti (jika suka untukperisa tambahan)
8) Garam secukup rasa
9) ½ - 1kg minyak masak (untuk menggoreng)
10) Seri kaya dan mentega untuk inti

Cara :
1) Campurkan semua bahan kecuali minyak masak dan bahan inti, uli membentuk
doh. Tambah air jika perlu. Biarkan doh selama 2030
minit di dalam bekas yang
dibalut dengan kain lembab.
2) Panaskan minyak di dalam kuali.
3) Potong doh memanjang dalam ukuran 1”X 4” hingga habis. Cantumkan 2
potongan bersama bebentuk 2” X 4” dengan tekanan menggunakan kayu stik
(chopstick) yang telah disapu minyak.

4) Goreng doh tadi sehingga keemasan dan angkat.
5) Belah separa antara cantuman tadi dengan pisau. Sapu mentega dan isikan seri
kaya dalam belahan tersebut.
Sedia untuk dihidangkan.

Materials

:

A) 1 cup water

2) ½ teaspoon salt

3) 2 cups grated cassava

4) ½ coconut grated

5) ½ teaspoon of red dye

Sira material:

1) ½ cup water

2) a piece of palm sugar (destroyed)

3) 1 pandan leaf, one can conclude

Method:

1) Heat a steamer. Rub the oil evenly on the pan.

2) Mix until well blended cassava, & water coloring. Pour the mixture into

dalamloyang.

3) Steam for ½ hour or until cooked. Let cool. Cut to bentukbentuk

preferred.

4) Mix salt with grated coconut. Coating kepingankepingan

bingka with

oil.

5) Combine sugar, water & other leaves in the pot and cook until

soluble. Increase heat and boil until it becomes thick sira.

Six) Serve with water bingka sira.
Ready to serve

Bahan bahan
:
1) 1 cawan air
2) ½ sudu teh garam
3) 2 cawan ubi kayu parut
4) ½ biji kelapa parut
5) ½ sudu teh pewarna merah
Bahan sira :
1) ½ cawan air
2) 1 keping gula melaka (hancurkan)
3) 1 helai daun pandan, disimpulkan

Cara :
1) Panaskan pengukus. Sapu rata minyak pada loyang.
2) Gaul sehingga sebati ubi kayu, air & bahan pewarna. Masukkan adunan ke
dalamloyang.
3) Kukus selama ½ jam atau hingga masak. Biarkan sejuk. Potong kepada bentukbentuk
yang disukai.
4) Gaul garam bersama kelapa parut. Salut kepingankepingan
bingka dengan
kelapa.
5) Satukan gula melaka, air & daun pandan dalam periuk lain dan masak hingga
larut. Besarkan api dan didihkan hingga menjadi sira yang pekat.
6) Hidang bingka bersama air sira.

Bahan bahan
:
1) ½ bungkus tepung pulut
2) 8 helai daun pandan (kisar dan perah patinya)
3) ½ biji kelapa parut (untuk dibuat inti)
4) 3 cawan santan
5) 1 cawan gula merah
6) 1 cawan air
7) 1 sudu teh garam
Cara :
1) Kelapa parut digaul denagn gula merah dan dimasak hingga menjadi inti.
2) Panaskan kukusan.
3) Bancuh tepung pulut bersama air dan pati pandan hingga menjadi doh yang
lembut.
4) Bentukkan doh lembut bulatbulat
dan isi inti di dalamnya.
5) Sementara itu bancuh santan bersama garam.
6) Letakkan doh berinti di dalam bekas dan tuangkan santan di sekelilingnya.
7) Kemudian kukus hingga masak.
8) Sejukkan.

Ingredients
:
1) ½ wrap glutinous rice flour
2) 8 pandan leaves (chopped and dairy patinya)
3) ½ coconut grated (to be core)
4) 3 cups coconut milk
5) 1 cup brown sugar
6) 1 cup water
7) 1 teaspoon salt
Method:
1) Coconut grated denagn mixed sugar and cooked to a core.
2) Heat kukusan.
3) Use a clean glutinous rice flour with water and pandan extract to the dough
soft.


4) Form a soft dough bulatbulat
and the fillings inside.
5) Meanwhile, mix coconut milk with salt.
6) Put the dough in the container berinti and pour the milk around.
7) then steamed until cooked.
8) Cool.
Ready to serve.

Materials

A) 3 eggs

2) 240 grams sugar

3) 240 ml coconut milk or fresh milk

4) 1 tbsp pandan juice

5) 270 grams of wheat flour

6) 1 teaspoon ovallate

7) 1 tbsp flour, starch

8) a young coconut grated (ambilputih only)

9) Salt to taste



Method:

1) Eggs blended with sugar until fluffy.

2) Add coconut milk / fresh milk, and flour ovallate. Blend well.

3) Heat kukusan and rub the oil evenly on the mold.

4) Mix well coconut and salt.

5) Put a little oil just to the mold. Press up to full.

6) Pour the flour mixture just meet the mold.

7) steam until the estimated cooking for 15 minutes. Remove from mold.

Ready to serve.

Bahan bahan
1) 3 biji telur
2) 240 gram gula
3) 240 ml santan atau susu segar
4) 1 sudu makan jus pandan
5) 270 gram tepung gandum
6) 1 sudu teh ovallate
7) 1 sudu makan tepung kanji
8) 1 biji kelapa muda parut (ambilputih sahaja)
9) Garam secukup rasa

Cara :
1) Telur dikisar bersama gula hingga kembang.
2) Masukkan santan/susu segar, ovallate dan tepung gandum. Kisar sehingga sebati.
3) Panaskan kukusan dan sapu rata minyak pada acuan.
4) Gaul rata kelapa dan garam.
5) Masukkan sedikit kelapa tadi ke dalam acuan. Tekan hingga padat.
6) Tuang adunan tepung memenuhi acuan tadi.
7) Kukus hingga masak anggaran selama 15 minit. Keluarkan daripada acuan.

½ pound shrimp

1 small cans Tomato puree

A thin orange seeds

A tie coriander

1 cup water

Oil adequate

Salt and sugar to taste


Spices GILING:

1 tsp caraway fine

1 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp coriander

1 large onion pumpkin

1 clove garlic

5 pieces of red onion

5 stalks dried pepper

1 stick lemon grass


For decoration:

½ cup fried onion

1 large onion (cut into round)

A sprig of red pepper (sliced)

1 stalk green pepper (chopped)


Heat oil, Stir ingredients that have been rolled out earlier. Add water, tomato puree and cook until the shrimp boil. Then add the water orange peel, salt, sugar and coriander leaves. Cook until sauce thickens. Finally, add the onion, red pepper, green pepper and garlic fries.

½ kilo Udang
1 Tin kecil Tomato puri
1 biji Limau nipis
1 ikat Daun Ketumbar
1 cawan Air
Minyak secukupnya
Garam dan gula secukup rasa

REMPAH GILING:
1 sdt Jintan halus
1 sdt Lada hitam
1 sdm Ketumbar
1 labu Bawang besar
1 ulas Bawang putih
5 biji Bawang merah
5 tangkai Lada kering
1 batang Serai

UNTUK HIASAN:
½ cawan Bawang goreng
1 biji Bawang besar (dipotong bulat)
1 tangkai Lada merah (dihiris)
1 tangkai Lada hijau (dihiris)

Panaskan minyak, tumiskan bahan-bahan yang telah digiling tadi. Masukkan air, tomato puri dan udang dimasak sehingga mendidih. Kemudian masukkan air perahan limau, garam, gula dan daun ketumbar. Masak sehingga kuah pekat. Akhir sekali, masukkan bawang besar, lada merah, lada hijau dan bawang goreng.

Materials Madiun acid:

2 large onion - sliced
1 clove garlic - sliced
A sprig of red chilli - sliced
30 grams tamarind Javanese - was the juice with 50 ml water
20 grams sugar


Way of preparation:

Season fish with spices or ingredients for a minute.

Heat pan and roast fish until cooked.

For sour sauce, integrated all the dressing ingredients.

Bahan-Bahannya:-
8 keping roti sandwich Gardenia (brand lain pun ok)
8 batang sosej ayam, celur 5 minit, angkat dan toskan
2 biji telur
1/2 camca teh serbuk lada sulah
2 camca besar bijan
1 camca besar tepung gandum*
Sedikit air*(*disatukan hingga menjadi pes pekat)
Minyak untuk menggoreng

Bahan Sos:-
2 camca besar mayonise
1 camca besar sos tomato
2 camca besar sos cili
1 ulas bawang putih, cincang halus
10 biji jeruk capers, dicincang halus
Cara membuatnya:-
UNTUK ROLL SOSEJ:- Leperkan setiap keping roti dengan torak (alat penggelek pastri) hingga leper. Ketepikan.
Ambil sebatang sosej, letak dibahagian pangkal roti dan gulung hingga ke hujung, sapu degan pes tepung sebagai gam dan lekatkan roti tadi. Buat hingga habis.
Dalam satu bekas, pecahkan telur, campur serbuk lada sulah dan kacau hingga rata. Celup roti gulung tadi dan golekkan dgn sedikit bijan. Goreng dalam minyak panas hingga kuning keemasan. Angkat dan toskan atas paper towel. Goreng gunakan api sederhana. Potong ikut suka dan hidangkan bersama "sos unik".
SOS UNIK:- Satukan semua bahan2 untuk sos dan kacau hingga rata dan sebati. Hidangkan bersama roll sosej tadi..
